Microsoft Surface Pro and Surface Go now available on DoE Catalogue

NSW public schools are able to use their dicretionary funds to purchase the Microsoft Surface Pro and Surface Go range of touch-enabled devices and accessories through the department's online Catalogue (EdBuy)! These Microsoft devices, along with the touch-enabled devices from HP, Acer and Dell that are also on the catalogue, can deliver on awesome new features of the Windows platform including Paint 3D and Windows MR. Read on to find out more about these exciting new products.

Microsoft Surface Pro (various models)

Features and important notes:

  • 4 Year Extended Warranty (Advanced Exchange)
  • Other accessories are NOT included
  • A Surface USB-C Travel Hub Black (1E4-00005) or a Surface Dock 2 is required to image the Surface Pro for eT4L
  • Advanced Exchange warranty (4 years), has been arranged with Microsoft & ASI. For confirmed hardware faults, Microsoft will send a permanent replacement device and the school will return the faulty unit. All data will be wiped from the returned unit. To facilitate this replacement warranty, it is essential that the device has not been engraved

Building the Surface Pro via eT4L:

  • Connect the Surface Pro to either the Surface Dock or the specific USB Ethernet Adaptor listed above
  • Connect the Ethernet port to a known-working network outlet with a known-working Ethernet cable
  • Hold down the Volume Down button, press the Power button once. When the Boot menu appears, release Volume Down.
  • Press Enter when prompted to start the network boot service
  • Continue the build process as with other Windows devices.

Microsoft Surface Go 3 tablet
